About Us
Tea Pea is all about high-quality, delicious things for children, for our homes, and the crafty lives we lead.
After years as a interior designer, juggling toddlers at home and clients at work, we took the big and brave step towards what we really love and get excited about - designing and sourcing beautiful products.
And then bringing them all together with the other passion we have - really great service to all Tea Pea's lovely customers. From the very beginning we chose to gift wrap (and we go all out), and pop in a wee 'hey thanks!' something - be it gift tags & twine, baby garland or maybe a couple of goodie bags. Lovely products, lovely service, lovely experience - it's important to us.
Last year we opened our workroom two days a week, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9.30-2. How wonderful to have customers walk up our path and into our store. Those two days have turned into chatting and laughing ones, with most staying at least half an hour - shopping and having a jolly time. Maybe we should be offering coffee? After all, the E-61 Rocket is always on and just in the kitchen.
We live in a fabulous, and in parts still very original(!) 1950's house with our three children, Griffin, Coco and Rosie, in Khandallah Wellington. There's also two Tibetan Spaniels - Clicquot and Otto. Scott heads into the city each day into the world of advertising, and back home at night to the world of children, dogs and Tea Pea into the small hours. And my days are a blur of all of the above, with the help of a few very clever and dedicated people working with us.
It's busy, like everybody's lives, but we love it.
