Freckle Rug

Tea Pea - Sunday, April 07, 2013

Made in Nepal using 100% NZ wool, these rugs add instant vibrancy to a room. We have one on our landing upstairs. It always makes me smile. And oh so lovely underfoot! These are the original Freckle rugs, designed by Down To The Woods in Melbourne.

MoTex Label Maker

Tea Pea - Thursday, February 28, 2013

MoTex Label Maker makes labelling fun, and bright, and cool.
Check out the great tape colours. Perfect for house, office and school organising. And presents look super cute with punched happy birthday or lots of love label!
Here's a 'how to' video. It's not great, but shows how it's done.

Pink

Tea Pea - Thursday, January 31, 2013
The arrival of our new limited edition Pink Toadstool inspired this collection of all things pink.
I'll admit, it's always been my favourite colour. Maybe it's from childhood? Pink Laura Ashley wallpaper and curtains in my first bedroom. And my pink dresses were my favourites (that orange and brown combination in the 70's never sat well with me, even as a 4 year old).
Of course, I'm a big fan of colour in general, and colour combinations. Year by year, season by season, colour in our lives changes and evolves. And within each colour, shades remind us of different times in our lives.
But let's get back to pink.
Who attended ballet lessons? Aren't these soft dusty pinks beautiful, also on the wall of the bedroom below.

The footstool - yes please. And the florals on the daybed are delightful. I have a similar table, and have also sprayed the top pink. I think it was black when I bought it. It's beside my daughter's bed.

Peony season is too short...

A perfect outfit for a little girl. Scalloped edging - another favourite of mine.

The pastels in this room are stunning, and that pram.

And let's inject a little 2013. Team pink with neon. Pink and red is also a great combination. Love the details - the red lamp cord.

Here's a different look, but equally interesting. Pink and grey have stood the test of time.

These are our stairs. Not a great shot, they are actually graduated. Here's a few more pics of our house (more over the coming months).

And here's a skirt and Hunter's I'd love this winter.

Happy New Year

Tea Pea - Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Well, three weeks holidaying with these two cuties in sunny Hawkes Bay was just what the doctor ordered. Actually truly what the doctor ordered. All my bragging the last two pregnancies about what a breeze they are, last laugh is on me. Number three and every day is a struggle - mentally and physically!

Anyway, only 8 weeks to go...although I think that's when the real fun begins doesn't it?

So after a hugely wonderful year for Tea Pea 2012, we were pleased for the holiday but are now back and bursting with ideas and products and gosh, not enough hours in the day already!

A few special Christmas freebies and deals...

Tea Pea - Monday, December 10, 2012

Our ever popular lunch bags are fantastic for the santa sack or under the tree. Insulated, and a great size for either individual lunch and drink, or transporting sandwiches to a picnic. Kids love the designs and you will love the usability. Griffin and Coco have taken their lunch bags to school every day this year, and they are still like new (yes, even 8 year old Griff's!), and I have loved the size. Small enough to easily fit into their bags, but big enough to hold all their lunch and a drink. In summer I can pop a ice pack in the bottom too.

And until Christmas there's 20% off these bags.

We have a new Hairclip House design. Isn't it sweet.

Purchase any of our Hairclip Houses and until Christmas we are giving a set of hairclips with them. Valued at $6, they are made by our elves and sure to delight all little girls!

Favourite Eateries - Dunshea's Deli

Tea Pea - Thursday, October 25, 2012

So what do the Tea Pea family do when not designing, sourcing, dispatching? Well, one of our favourite things to do is eat out. This used to happen more regularly before children, but even with two, and one on the way, we still love to relax with coffee and papers on a weekend morning. And going out for Sunday lunch with the family is always a joy.

Over the next few months I'll tell you about the cafes we love. Let's start with our local, Dunshea's Deli.

Craig opened his Deli a couple of years ago down the road from us, and from the first week it had established a loyal following. Brunch is forever changing and always fantastic, and there's a tasty array of food to go.

For me, it's a good chance to catch up with friends before heading into a busy Tea Pea day. For the kids it's an afternoon hot chocolate in the winter, and for Scott it's the much needed early morning coffee on the way to cricket or soccer. I notice Coco, 4, has suggested to me "maybe a quick coffee at Dunshea's before Little School?" several times recently. Craig is always at the espresso machine (and cooks at the same time - amazing chef and multi tasker) and knows everyone, and no doubt an awful lot of neighbourhood gossip.

Just how a neighbourhood deli should be.
