Muskhane

Muskhane is a celebration of Himalayan craftsmanship and mindful living, founded in 2003 by French couple Valérie and Thierry Billot. The pair first travelled to Kathmandu on a humanitarian mission with Handicap International, and fell in love with Nepal and its traditions. What began as a study into fair commerce in the Himalayan region grew into a business built on long-term relationships with artisans in the Kathmandu valley. Today, every Muskhane piece is still handcrafted there, with the brand now piloted from Annecy in the French Alps after Valérie and Thierry spent 15 years based in Nepal. The range is made almost entirely from hand-felted wool, a natural, renewable, hypoallergenic material prepared using an age-old tradition of intertwining fibres by hand.
