Who are you going to be spending Christmas with this year and where?
This year, we're excited to spread Christmas over two days in Auckland! Celebrating with each side of the family on both the Sunday before Christmas and on Christmas Day means we can avoid rushing and enjoy a relaxed Christmas morning, just the five of us, before hosting in the afternoon.
Does your family have Christmas traditions? What are they?
A Christmas Eve movie, snacks for Santa and his reindeer, stockings at the end of each child's bed (though one might be getting a bit too old!), and an early morning squeeze on Christmas Day into our bed.
The main Christmas meal, is this through the day or in the evening? What do you hope will be on the menu?
This year, our main meal will be a bit more casual, in the late afternoon to early evening. We'll enjoy a BBQ, with summer salads, a trusty potato gratin, and no doubt, a ham will make an appearance! Mum's delicious Chocolate Mousse is a staple each year and never disappoints.
Is there a recipe you could share?
Mum’s 1980’s Chocolate Mousse of course. With or without the liqueur. Maybe make both!
