Today, Kknekki is owned, designed, and operated by Bon Dep, a Norwegian family-owned company, bringing together the innovative spirit and beauty heritage of Korean haircare with the clean lines and thoughtful simplicity of Scandinavian design. Each Kknekki hair tie is woven from over 60 threads on vintage knitting machines from the 1960s (originally built to make upholstery bands), giving them their signature elasticity and iconic look. They retain their stretch permanently, offer a snag-free hold, and are gentle on fine, thick, and curly hair alike.
