Special Studio is a Tauranga-based New Zealand brand creating modern, timeless homewares through innovative 3D printing using 100% recycled plastic. Founded by self-taught product designer Matthew Watkins (whose design work on the brand began in 2018, with Special Studio officially launching in 2021), the studio uses 3D printing to turn waste plastic into sculptural, beautifully designed objects, from stools and side tables to planters and plinths.
